almost a graduate

It's been a while since I have blogged, and I find that my desire to keep up my blog coincides with the ebb and flow of my life. I am now leaving behind a very very busy season in my life, a season that helped push me through the hard "stuff" I needed to accomplish during my senior year...but now I am entering a season of uncertainty, and the unknown. Although right now I feel completely content and excited for a new chapter I am sure this season of the unknown will have its share of ups and downs. I think I'm ok with that. In the meantime, I am trying to savor my last week of college...gasp!!! (how can I already be this old?) I have loved my time in college. I started a naive, young person with wide bright eyes, and now I am leaving still with some naivety, and still full of dreams and desires but also with a new sense of trusting and leaning on God...and an understanding that this story of mine is not authored by me, but rather I am just on a journey to find out what my story is intended to be for Him. How can I be pleasing to Him in the course of my years, and in my daily life? Although I would object to how some things have been sorted out in my life, I am fully aware and blessed by the fact that He works things out for the good of His children. So I pray that as I leave my beloved school, and precious friendships, that I can live in the daily promise of His grace, and mercy and that I may be able to let myself go and instead fill myself with as much of Him as possible. I know life is just beginning but my hope is in Him, and with that, I think I can make it through anything.

I love this, and I find it to be an amazing encouragement right now. Check out this blog for more cuteness like this.

I love you all, and if you don't hear from me for a while, just know I'm probably busy graduating. YAY!

Much Love always,

Megan

I love feeling like a kid again

And for me Tangled is the perfect blend of innocence, and the wide-eyed dreaminess that I hope life never knocks out of me. I have watched this scene many times and I still can't get enough. If you haven't seen this movie you really really need to. It is very well done...It kind of reminds me of the modern day version or redo of the "Kiss the Girl" song in The Little Mermaid. Equally as memorable is this scene, with the song entitled, "I See the Light."

long time no blog, sorry friends

The reason for the lack of blogging? My Senior Graphic Design show happening in 6 days. Yes I am feeling stressed, but yes I am also feeling incredibly supported and loved. I can totally do this :)

yes.

I want to write like Colbie. Some people just write straight from their hearts, through their ink, on to their paper, and soon to our ears. I love music.

Fearless written by Colbie Caillat

If that's the way you love you've got to learn so much
If that's the way you say goodbye
Then this is how it ends and I'm alright with it
You're never gonna see me cry 'cause I've cried

So go on, go on and break my heart
I'll be okay, there's nothing you can do to me
That's ever gonna bury me

So go on, go on and leave, my love
Out on the street, I'm fearless
Better believe I'm fearless, fearless

If this is how it hurts it couldn't get much worse
If this is how it feels to fall
Then that's the way it is, we live with what we miss
We learn to build another wall till it falls

So go on, go on and break my heart
I'll be okay, there's nothing you can do to me
That's ever gonna bury me

So go on, go on and leave, my love
Out on the street, I'm fearless
Better believe I'm fearless, fearless

If it's between love and losing
And to never have known the feeling, I'd still side with love
And if I end up lonely at least I will be there knowing I believe in love

Go on, go on and break my heart
I'll be okay, I'm fearless
Better believe I'm fearless, fearless

Go on, go on and break my heart
I'll be okay, there's nothing you can do to me
That's ever gonna bury me

So go on, go on and leave, my love
Out on the street, I'm fearless
Better believe I'm fearless, fearless

I'm fearless

So go on and leave, my love
Go on and leave, my love
Go on and leave, my love
Better believe I'm fearless, fearless
Fearless, fearless

I can't wait till Morning

Learning to Breathe by Switchfoot
Hello, good morning, how ya do?
What makes your rising sun so new?
I could use a fresh beginning too
All of my regrets are nothing new

So this is the way
that I say that I need You
This is the way
This is the way

That I'm learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that You and
You alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies

Hello, good morning, how ya been?
Yesterday left my head kicked in
I never thought I could fall like that
Never knew that I could hurt this bad

I'm learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that You and
You alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies

So this is the way
that I say that I need You
This is the way
That I say I love You
This is the way
That I say I'm Yours
This is the way
This is the way

This is me.

I try to be a hard sleeper but I still wake up to most noises. It's a bummer when you're immersed in dorm life. I love dreaming, so goodnight friends! Sweet dreams, big hopes, and lots of love to you!

Some days are like THIS

and then you have to force yourself to make lemonade out of those lemons because yes, tomorrow is a new day, but today doesn't have to be a lost cause. So God give me strength, and please add some sugar to my lemonade?

I love my life

Life has ups and downs and inbetweens, and I am learning to worship God through it all. Right now I happen to be in a very content stage. Yes, graduation and a new chapter will happen in about 99 days, but right now I'm just happy and really excited for what the future holds. I am learning to really have fun with change because I realize that God's plans for me are so much better than mine could ever be. I have always known that fact, but I think I finally get it...

Anyway, here are a few snapshots of my life lately...

first week done!

words of encouragement and words of wisdom are a beautiful gift in life. I appreciate them all when they come my way.

the beginning of the end

of my college career is happening tomorrow. One last semester at PLNU. How weird, and yet how wonderful this time has been. I cannot wait to make the most of these last few months. I will have NO regrets, or should haves. I'm doing it all! :)

out with the old, in with the new

I really love when a new year finally arrives. To me its like cracking open a new coloring book. You can open your new box of crayola crayons and start fresh. There are no scribbles yet, no pages that are so difficult that you skip them...it's just new and nothing has been done yet, the possibilities are endless. 2010 was a year of growth for me, but it had pages that were torn and some coloring pages that seemed almost impossible to turn the page on...but that book is now old, it's finished, and I'm ready for my new coloring book, my new 2011! I have many hopes for 2011, but mostly I pray that it can be a year of health. Health of every kind.

.

I hope all of you have a wonderful 2011 as well. Much love and many blessings from me to you :) May 2011 be a vivid and colorful year for you.

A Creative Christmas Infusion

I'm on blog exploration overload. Call it being deprived because of a super busy semester, or boredom because I have no classes right now, but either way I am feeling very content and my cup of creativity is full again thanks to the creative world out there :) I sincerely love Christmas. Big coats, soft fabrics, twinkling lights, cocoa, the old black and white movies, the traditions, ughhh it's all just so wonderful. I'm feeling the Christmas cheer today...

Now THAT is one bundled up kitty

OK, could this be any more perfect??? Talk about a genius creation. Santa would LOVE this ;) Scratch that, I LOVE THIS.

I want a kitchen like this...just look at the perfect mix of old and new, plus the warm glow of the lights just makes it so welcoming. It's good for long conversation and a good cup of jo. I've been charmed, have you?

Garland Mittens? Umm talk about a step above stringing popcorn. Too cute.

According to Dunkin Donuts whoever bit into this Gingerbread Man is "more sensitive, reveling in the company of others..." I bite the head first. How about you?

This could be a new classic :)

I want to snuggle under this blanket, it looks so PLUSH........!!!

Glacier Ice cubes=awesome. Coke could totally use these in a commercial.

Ok, so my essentials in life are kleenex, lotion, chapstick and a water bottle. Kleenex has the most adorable new designs lately, and this just goes to show how awesome their designers are, what a fun job.

Renewed

That is what this season of my life is teaching me...how to be renewed by and in God's love for me. He wants to journey with me and love me for the person I am today, and that is the most beautiful thing I can imagine. I will never deserve his gracious heart and merciful embrace...but all the more reason to celebrate this time of year. My forever love was born this time of the year, amen to that.

Francesca Battestelli is one musical artist who never fails to encourage me and her music just has a relatable depth to it that I immensely appreciate. I love this song. It kept my heart warm on flights to and from the US to Europe, Europe to the US and many trips back and forth from AZ to CA.

It's an Anthro Christmas

I love Anthro, and thanks to a blog I follow called Black Eiffel I can see what their Christmas displays look like throughout the country. I need to go check out an Anthro nearby and see what's happening in AZ :)

Holiday in the Desert

I'm headed home to Arizona, and I am so excited! I officially only have one semester of college left. YAY. So, what's the best way to kill time at the airport? By blogging of course! Life has been hectic and stressful lately, and I am just thrilled for a full nights rest in my own bed with my cat curled up on my feet, and with no alarm clock to greet me in the morning. I think it will be a nice break for me, I have been in need of some renewal time. Anyway, I thought I would share some design love I have encountered lately and just can't get enough of...it was an instant connection (she is obsessed with her pug too) and I don't think I could love Gemma Correll's art any more than I do. Laugh, smile and soak in her artistic genius!
