Hard times

they happen inevitably. They cause you pain and hurt but they also offer an opportunity to triumph and to be strong in Christ who brings hope and love and grace. On a daily basis lately I have to remind myself how much I am loved, no matter what other feelings are plaguing me at the moment, God loves me abundantly. He loves me with a jealous love that is bigger and wider and higher and deeper than I could ever fathom. He wants only good for me, and what a gift that is. I pray that by continuing to trust in Him the desires of my heart will come to me in silent beauty, unexpected and with perfect timing. I trust that even though the days seem hard now, I can still live for God in the midst of anything I am going through. This song is my healing song right now, and so here is the story of it's creation, a story that makes it even more powerful to sing out to the Lord. I pray that I can feel real love in my life on earth, a love that is God-given and God-inspired.
