Goodbye London, Hello Paris!

So much has happened since I arrived on August 22nd. I don't think I could have dreamed of all I would learn. Every day has been an adventure all it's own. Each day new discoveries, new knowledge. I wonder if it's possible to explode with information overload? ;~)

Since my last entry I have seen many more sites such as the Tate Britain, the Wallace Collection, Southwark Chapel, the Tate Modern, Kensington Palace and Gardens, Buckingham Palace and Harrods. That is just the big stuff. I can't possibly tell you all I am learning and seeing. It's like I a living in one big history/art textbook! I want to record every day I have just so I can look back on it all later, but I just can't keep track of it all!

Me and Cait made our last stop to Baker's Oven, a little cafe/donut/sandwich shop that we have become frequent visitors of. It was the first place we stopped to eat in London, and the last place we ate as well. We are definitely "regulars," but little do they know we're leaving tomorrow for Paris. Goodbye Baker's Oven, keep making your yummy food! Anyway, the point of me mentioning Baker's Oven is that we are starting to really acclimate to our neighborhood here in London, and really get the hang of how things work. It's a shame we have to leave now that we have settled in, but that is also a good sign that I can move on to the next place because I feel like I have really gotten a clear picture of all that is London. Maybe one day I will get to see more of England and the UK, but London gave me a nice dose of the culture, for which I am very thankful!

So Paris tomorrow afternoon! We will be there for two days before heading to Italy for about a month. We will be back to France come October, at which point we will live there for a good 2 months. SO, this trip to Paris is just a taste of the French life and of course to see all the big must-sees such as the Eiffel Tower. I have dreamed of such a moment...I have dreamed of one day seeing the Eiffel in person, so I am in disbelief that tomorrow is the day! FINALLY!

I miss all of you back home, and I send my love and well wishes! With every day I am here I realize that there truly is no place like home, Dorthy had it right!

Until next time! love love love from me to you!

Meg
